The twins have learned to cope with their disability and synchronize their movements in the most spectacular manner imaginable since their birth. Abby and Brittany Hensel have 12 fascinating facts about them.
1. They both have the same body.
Despite the fact that they share a single body and a single set of limbs, all of their organs are different from one another. Each twin has mastered the use of one arm and one leg in order to operate one arm and one leg independently.
2. At first, they struggled with coordination.
After initially having difficulty with coordination, they soon evolved their own distinctive walking style and were able to go about with ease. Walking on her toes is something Brittany loves doing.
3. Their parents strongly opposed their plan to split them apart.
When physicians said that separating the twins would be impossible, their parents decided against it. They have no second thoughts about their choice.
4. They were the subject of a documentary.
TLC, with their consent, produced a documentary on them when they were 16 years old. The Abby and Brittany Show was later adapted for television.
5. It has taken the twins some time to master some more difficult moves
They can now drive, walk, swim, and ride a bicycle with sufficient commitment and effort. Abby controls the right side of the driver’s seat while Brittany controls the left during their individual driving exams.
6. They’re both recent college grads.
It’s important to note that both Abby and Brittany received their bachelor’s degrees from Bethel University in 2012, which they attended as undergraduates.
