We’ve seen a lot of interesting animal friendships between cats and other animals, but this one is truly unique.
Consider the strange friendship that exists between an African lion, a Bengal tiger, and an American black bear who live in peace and harmony. Oh, the lions, tigers, and bears!
At Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter in Georgia, Leo the lion, Shere Khan the tiger, and Baloo the bear have been closest friends for 15 years.

These cute animals, known as the BLT, were recovered from the basement of a house in Atlanta during a police drug raid in 2001.
They were imprisoned in a filthy cellar, and Baloo had to have surgery to remove an ingrown harness that had developed due to the harness not being adjusted as he grew.

That was the only time the three best friends were ever separated, and they’ve spent the rest of their lives together.
At Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter in Georgia, Leo the lion, Shere Khan the tiger, and Baloo the bear have been closest friends for 15 years.

They were rescued from the basement of a house in Atlanta in 2001 during a police drug raid and are known as the BLT (we prefer LTB).
They were imprisoned and kept in deplorable conditions in a basement.

Because his harness was not adjusted as he matured, Baloo needed surgery to remove an ingrown harness.
That was the only time the three best buddies were ever apart.

Since then, they’ve lived their entire lives together.
They coexist happily at Georgia’s Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter.

Because they were too wounded to be cured for release into the wild, they will spend the rest of their lives here.

Leo is an African Lion, Shere Khan is a Bengal Tiger and Baloo is an American Black Bear.
These wild creatures would come from three separate continents and would never have the opportunity to interact in this way otherwise.
These guys get along like brothers and are entirely inseparable despite their unique differences.
