Pixie And Brutus, the Internet’s Most Loved Duo, Have 6 New Comic Strips!

Must Read

If you’re a comic book fan, you’re definitely familiar with the Pet Foolery stories about Pixie, a little lively kitten, and Brutus, a retired military working dog.

Pet Foolery, founded by Ben Hed, has amassed a sizable internet following, with 2.5 million Instagram followers.

Ben was able to transition from drawing comics as a side pastime to working full-time at his ideal career as a result of this.

Today, the artist continues to create fresh and interesting experiences for Pixie and Brutus, and it appears that the settings in which the furry friends find themselves are unlimited…

To brighten your day, we offer you with the latest batch of Pet Foolery comics.

Ben’s Pet Foolery Instagram page has a whooping 2.5 million followers, which is astounding considering the artist didn’t intend for it to become a series in the first place.

Pixie and Brutus now have a large internet following, and Ben must keep his comic series as efficient and exciting as the first day he published it.

That isn’t to say that coming up with new concepts for his ongoing comic series is simple. “With animal comics about recurring characters and a continuing story (i.e Pixie and Brutus), I find it’s getting harder and harder to come up with new ideas and jokes,” he previously told us in an interview.

The inventor of Pet Foolery, on the other hand, is constantly up to something fresh and exciting, so we got out to him to see what he’s been up to.

“I’m still working on the Pixie and Brutus graphic novel! I’m a lot closer to finishing now, of course. It should be up on a crowdfunding site (probably Kickstarter) in the near future,” Ben said, adding that he’s quite pleased about it.

Keep up with Pet Foolery on Instagram for the latest news on the graphic novel and sneak peeks into the work in progress!

Ben stated that he recently introduced a Belgian Malinois character named Dexter to the comics when asked whether there are any new characters.

He explained,“He and Brutus are developing a sort of friendemy relationship.”

We also spoke about if characters evolve over time, and the creator responded, “The designs are the thing that’s changed the most, but their characters have evolved a bit too.”

Ben once told us, “I’ve never really included current events in any of my comics.”

“It’s not that it’s a conscious decision, it just doesn’t happen naturally for me. Maybe if my comics were more about humans and less about cats and dogs, then it’d be different.”

Ben adds that whatever he comes up with for Pixie and Brutus’ exploits is what he comes up with.

“Naturally, Pixie and Brutus comics aren’t the only comic ideas that pop into my head.”

“Sometimes I think of a joke or story that doesn’t really fit with P and B, so I make it using other recurring characters or even completely new characters instead,” Ben revealed.
