Fans from all over the world have flocked to Fairfax, Virginia to show their support for Johnny Depp during his defamation trial against Amber Heard.
According to News Corp, some supporters have traveled as far as Australia, and they’ve been packed the courtroom every day that the star has been testifying against his ex-wife.
One supporter, however, has gone above and above by bringing two alpacas to help the 58-year-old.
Andrea Diaz of Lorton, Va., is a Johnny Depp fan who has been watching his defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard and believes it’s messed up, according to The Washington Post.
She started a business bringing alpacas to children’s homes to cheer them up during the coronavirus pandemic, and she wants to do the same for Depp.
The alpacas’ support appeared to be in response to a comment made earlier in the trial by Heard’s lawyer J. Benjamin Rottenborn, in which Depp was asked about reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow.
“The fact is, Mr. Depp, if Disney came to you with $300 million and a million alpacas, nothing on this earth would get you to go back and work with Disney on a Pirates of the Caribbean film? ” Rottenborn said. “Correct?”
“That is true, Mr. Rottenborn,” Depp said.
But if those two alpacas were included in the package, he’d have a hard time saying no.
“I hope he gets justice, whatever the judge sees fit,” Diaz told Law&Crime Network.
The actor is suing his ex-wife over a 2018 piece published in The Washington Post in which she claimed to have been a victim of domestic and sexual violence. The trial has been going on for two weeks.
Depp, on the other hand, ended his evidence against Heard by stating he was the victim of physical violence by his former girlfriend.
“What did you say in response when Ms Heard said ‘tell the world, Johnny, tell them I Johnny Depp, a man, am a victim too of domestic violence?’” Depp’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez, asked Depp on Monday (April 26).
“I said yes, I am,” Depp said.
